Teesside Astronomical Science Centre (TASC) is the not-for-profit management body operating the facilities of Wynyard Planetarium and Observatory, which are popular and invaluable education and entertainment resources in the Tees Valley.
With the help of local astronomical societies (CaDAS & DAS) we offer a range of astronomy related events, activities and services aimed at supporting National Curriculum science as well as informing, educating and entertaining schools, colleges, community groups and the general public in all aspects of space science.
Teesside Astronomical Science Centre (TASC) is a registered Charity in England and Wales with Number 1156793.
Social Mission
TASC aims to provide a facility unique to the Tees Valley for everybody interested in astronomy, physics and technology, as well as seeking to promote the interest of future STEM professionals.
We are run entirely by volunteers and all income generated is reinvested into maintaining and expanding the facility to further it’s social mission.
